Cape Town (Situated mid-way between Northern and Southern Suburbs).
Qualification:
Bachelor Degree, Three-year Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma
Courses Offered:
Theoretical and practical training with emphasis on developing outstanding
"story-telling" skills. Capacity-building short courses.
Practical Film Training?:
Yes.
Formats:
16mm, Super 16mm, 35mm / Video: S-VHS, DV, DVCAM, DVCPRO, Betacam SP.
Animation?:
Yes. 16mm and computer based animation.
Non Linear Editing Training Offered?:
Yes.
Equipment Available for Use Outside of Class Hours:
Yes
Schedule:
Full-time: 6 semester course. 5 semesters at the School and 1 semester industrial learnership.
Post Graduate Diploma: 4 semester course. 3 semesters at the School and 1 industry based.
Capacity-building short courses: 1 to 5 days.
Modus Operandi:
Small classes. Individual attention. Each student is required to write,
produce and direct a short graduation production on film.
