What we do
Oceanstorm Films maintain a clear, and calculated commercial bias towards bold, innovative, and engaging stories that are consistently primed to achieve cinematic success across the world's markets. Through the development of popular, genre-led high concept narratives they are able to attract not only experienced and recognisable cast and crews, but also of securing the requisite budgets with which to pursue them.
That doesn't mean that stories smaller in scale, duration, or even those requiring lesser budgets are overlooked. Far from it! We see those types of stories as a natural stepping-stone for new talent in achieving the experience and recognition so often necessary to make that first big impression on the industry.
Consequently we consider all proposed budget of stories, from short films costing a mere £1k to featurettes requiring £25k or more, and to features of over £500k. Indeed our current slate is rapidly developing projects budgeted between £250k and £5m. The one thing that remains consistent in this, however, is the creation of fresh, innovative, cinematic concepts.
Great films, those that stand the test of time, and that reap the greatest financial rewards for the creators, never result from poor or unimaginative scripts. Great stories will always find an audience, and Oceanstorm Films insists on great stories.
