En effet, après la compagnie ZIGAS du Togo ou AKOFFEN théâtre de Lomé (Un groupe de, conteurs), il a continué son parcours africains.
C'est ainsi qu'après la pièce "vérité au creux du mensonge", il a choisi le pays des Hommes Intègres comme pays idéal pour mieux aiguiser son talent' artiste, comédien Après des stages de formation avec d'éminents, artistes comédien, il décida de se nommée AKABARAKA comme nom d'artiste conteur.
Jean-Claude Dit AKABARAKA est un acteurs, comédiens, Conteurs, et metteur en scène basé sur le territoire burkinabé.
AKABARAKA en Ewé (langue du Togo) signifie le charbon de bois noir ou Africain Noir, SAALA en mooré (langue du Burkina Faso).
AKABARAKA lance un appel à tous les africains de faire un flash-back sur leur Tradition.
AKABARAKA se veut donc répercuteur artistique des échos de la vérité du monde merveilleux des contes dont les manifestations ressemblent par beaucoup d'aspects à la vie humaine.
AKABARAKA recherche dans le domaine des contes, devinettes, proverbes, jeux d'enfants, chants et danses traditionnelles africains, AKABARAKA ?uvre pour la revalorisation des patrimoines culturels oraux et une redynamisation authentique du théâtre africain.

Très tôt en début 99, AKABARAKA participera à une semaine culturelle et de formation organisée par une association de jumelage entre l'école patrice Lumumba et une école française à Ouagadougou.

AKABARAKA a effectué une tournée dans différents secteurs et communes de la Capitale en Juin 2000.

Notons que dans le souci de susciter l'esprit de créativité de la promouvoir l'art de la scène au niveau scolaire, AKABARAKA a assuré la formation des écoles Primaires et Secondaire qui ont gagné les premiers prix au concours artistique des élèves secondaires et étudiants (CAPO et CASEO) organisé par l'Atelier Théâtre burkinabé (A.T.B)

Par ailleurs, soulignons que AKABARAKA a aussi participé à l'organisation du (F.I.T.D et F.I.T.M.O) les deux plus grande Festival au Burkina Faso.
