Haifaa Al-MANSOUR (هيفاء المنصور‎) est une réalisatrice, scénariste, monteuse et productrice.
Née en 1974, elle a étudié la littérature anglaise comparée à l'université américaine du Caire dont elle sort diplômée en 1997, avant de suivre des cours de cinéma en Australie où elle passe un Master à l'Université de Sydney qui lui décerne le "Prestigious Endeavour Scholarship Award".
Son 1er long métrage WADJDA (2012), est aussi le long métrage réalisé par une femme en Arabie Saoudite. Haifaa Al-MAnsour a été coproduite par le prince Al-Walid ben Talal (groupe Rotana) et Razor Film (Allemagne). Ce film a été sélectionné à la section Horizons du Festival de Venise 2012, en Première Mondiale.

Tout en tournant pour la télévision et Netflix, elle réalise en 2025 son 5è long métrage "Unidentified (L'inconnu)", un thriller dont l'action se passe en Arabie Saoudite.

Her first feature film "Wadjda" (2012), was selected in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival 2012 (World Premiere). It is the first full-length feature to be shot entirely in Saudi Arabia. "Wadjda" tells the story of an 11-year old girl growing up in the suburbs of Riyadh, who dreams of owning and riding a green bicycle.

Haifaa Al-Mansour is the first female filmmaker from Saudi Arabia and a prominent cinematic figure, influencing and inspiring a new wave of Saudi filmmakers. Her acclaimed 2012 film "Wadjda" received numerous awards from festivals around the world, including the audience award at Los Angeles Film Festival, and was nominated for a Bafta for best foreign language film. While also directing episodes for television, in 2025 she released her fifth film titled "Unidentified" - a mystery-thriller set in Saudi Arabia.

Haifaa Al Mansour ist die erste weibliche Filmemacherin Saudi-Arabiens.
An der Amerikanischen Universität Cairo hat sie vergleichende Literatur studiert und ein Masterstudium in Film an der Universität Sydney mit dem „Prestigious Endeavour Scholarship Award"abgeschlossen.
Wadjda ist ihr erster Spielfilm und der erste in Saudi-Arabien gedrehte Spielfilm überhaupt. Das Drehbuch wurde im Rawi Sundance entwickelt und mit dem Shasha Grant des Abu Dhabi Film Festival ausgezeichnet.
