"Reading Transnational Texts, Film & Media in the English-Speaking World"
This interdisciplinary issue aims at linking literatures, languages and cultures by supporting different ways of relating beyond unilateral patterns of gender inequalities, top-down hierarchies and violence. We especially welcome innovative contributions that can promote "equalitarian" and collaborative principles and practices towards individuals, societies, literatures and cultures from a multiplicity of points of view: "hybridization" of languages and literatures, migrant writing, cultural diversity, intercultural and transcultural identities and subjectivities and postcolonial studies.
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that fit within discourse practices of partnership and mutuality as viable alternatives to "dominant" models of culture.
Contributions should focus on these areas of interest and conform to any of the three main sections of the journal: articles, book reviews and creative writing. Le Simplegadi follows a multilingual policy and contributes to linguistic diversity; articles in languages other than English are therefore welcomed.
Submissions must conform to the guidelines that can be found on the website of the journal section Notes for Contributors. Only contributions that conform to the guidelines and arrive before the deadline (31st May 2012) will go through the refereeing process. Authors must submit an abstract in the language of the article and in English.

All submissions should be accompanied by a cover message including postal and e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and a brief biographical statement (max. 100 words).
