Talented gospel musician Alexander Zinyongo has released a new album dubbed “Revival Time” and a collection DVD for his previous offerings “Open Heavens” and “Gospel Hour”, which will be officially launched early February.

“Revival Time” carries eight tracks which are laden with good messages for gospel lovers.

The album opens up with a song called “Dzoredzerai”. This song is a portrayal of a lost son. He gave a Biblical reference of the prodigal son who went away to squander all riches. Zinyongo says children should be mentored from childhood. “Ndinokuda Muponesi” says those who worship God whole-heartedly shall receive salvation.

He has paid a tribute to the children by advocating for child rights with a dedication song called “Vana Vavhumbamirwe”.

Zinyongo castigates child abuse and says the underprivileged and orphans should be well raised.

“I am also releasing the album alongside a DVD of my previous two projects ‘Open Heavens’ and ‘Gospel Hour’. The videos are spectacular and are well polished,” said Zinyongo.

On the album are scintillating ballads that are perfect.

They are “Vachararama nokutenda”, “Huya kwandiri” among other songs. The musician has also hired the efforts of a gospel diva, Bethany Pasinawako- Ngolomi on the song called “Vachararama Nokutenda”.

The song is a blend of melodies of good voices. “Vachararama Nokutenda” reveals God’s unmerited favour when Daniel was captured in Babylon and thrown into the lions’ den. It speaks about how Joseph was sold to strangers and later elevated to become a governor in Egypt.

Zinyongo said his songs are pure Afro-Jazz and he is a prodigy to Shingisai Suluma and the Charambas.

The musician’s other albums are “Jesu ndiShe”, “Ndatenda”, “Mazuva Ekuguma”and “Gospel Hour”.
