Dear Arterial Networkers,

As we draw rapidly towards the end of 2014 it is hard to think that only a month ago we were completing the 4th edition of the African Creative Economy Conference (ACEC) in the city of Rabat in Morocco.  The ACEC has become one of the key gathering points for arts organisers and cultural practitioners, and a premier platform for dialogue on the role of culture plays in development and related matters. The ACEC was preceded by Arterial Network’s 2-day General Council, which provided opportunities for reflection on progress within the organization. We celebrate the successes of our members around the continent and the diverse ways national chapters and representative organisations meet their challenges in their differing contexts. It  is deeply encouraging to sense the enthusiasm and fresh impetus among new and past Arterial Network members.
