James Wasula is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS) set up in the 1980’s to enforce the copyright law.  He is member of the Afrigo Band, one of Uganda’s oldest and most respected music bands.  As a performing artist, Mr. Wasula recognizes that artists deserve to earn a decent income from their hard-earned sweat.  Unfortunately the rampant sales of pirated music acts as a major obstacle to this dream.
