AfricAvenir commémore le génocide rwandais avec la projection de IMBABAZI (Le Pardon)

AfricAvenir s’engage dans la commémoration, en Nambie, des 20 ans du génocide rwandais de 1994. A cette occasion AfricAvenir invite à la Première Namibienne du film rwandais « Imbabazi – Le Pardon »(2013) de Joel Karekezi, au Centre culturel allemand Goethe de Windhoek, le samedi 26 avril 2014 à 19h00.
En mars 2014, le film remportait le Grand Prix du Nil (4 000 dollars US et une statuette en or de Toutankhamon) au 3ème Festival du Cinéma africain de Luxor.
En Février 2014, le film a eu le trophée du Meilleur Réalisateur et celui du Meilleur Film aux « A Thousand Hills Academy Awards » (Prix de l’Académie des Mille Collines).
Entrée: 30 dollars namibiens.
Le poète namibien « Truth » (SpokenWord) fera un spectacle introductif avant la projection.
Le réalisateur Joel Karekezi a adressé un message vidéo au public namibien.
Kwibuka (ou « Ibuka ») – « souviens-toi », en kinyarwanda – est un moment pour se joindre au souvenir solennel, pour réfléchir aux 20 ans passées et tourner notre attention vers les défis qui sont devant nous. C’est un moment pour nous réengager à l’idée simple mais puissant : Plus jamais.
C’est un temps pour réfléchir. Pas seulement pour le Rwanda, mais pour le monde. – Louise Mushikiwabo, Ministre rwandaise des Affaires Etrangères.

Kwibuka (Kinyarwanda: ‘remember’) is a time to join in solemn remembrance, to reflect on the past twenty years, and to turn our attention to the challenges that lie ahead.
It is a time to recommit ourselves to the simple but powerful idea: Never Again.
It’s a time to reflect. Not just for Rwanda, but for the world. – Rwandan Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo
