Les cours qui se déroulent sur un an débuteront en Janvier 2013. cette formation vise des photojournalistes en herbe d’Afrique du Sud et au-delà sur le continent ainsi que des photographes cherchant à parfaire leurs compétences. Le PDP offre aux étudiants la possibilité d’approfondir leurs compétences techniques dans un contexte d’engagement critique sur les défis sociaux et de l’environnement des médias. Le PDP englobe également des stages avec des maisons de presse et d’autres organisations.
Les candidats sont tenus d’avoir des compétences de base en photographie, que ce soit par le biais des acquis reconnus ou par l’expérience de travail.

At the Market Photo Workshop in Johannesburg – The deadline for applications is 17h00 on 5 October 2012.
The year-long course gets underway in January 2013 and is aimed at aspiring photojournalists from South Africa and further afield on the continent as well as practicing photographers who seek to hone their skills. The PDP offers students the opportunity to sharpen technical competence in a context of critical engagement with social challenges and the media environment. The PDP also encompasses internships with media houses and other organisations.
Applicants are required to have familiarity with basic photography skills, whether through recognised prior learning or on-the-job experience. In keeping with the ethos of the Market Photo Workshop, there is an emphasis on ensuring a representative and inclusive student intake. Bursaries may be available to students in demonstrable financial need.
