Quinze ans après le génocide au Rwanda, beaucoup d’enfants ayant perdu leurs parents sont devenus des « maibobo » (des enfants des rues) et vivent toujours en marge de la société. Le film est basé sur les histoires et les expériences de ces jeunes : une histoire et rude histoire de leur existence difficile. Pieds nus et un sac sur l’épaule contenant ses seuls biens, un enfant des rues venant de la campagne va vers la ville en quête de chance…
