MOTO – Juni/June 2015

English

Back at the library! I'll sort out some themoses of coffee & chai so people have something to drink – but feel free to bring anything you would like to eat or drink – don't want starving artists!

Thank you to all who came to the last Moto & helped celebrate two years of gathering together writers & literary lovers in Dar es Salaam. We had a great discussion about what is good about Moto & what we could improve. As per general consensus we are planning to keep the gatherings as open and unstructured as possible, but also give some suggested readings and continue to find a way to share work before the sessions. We will post suggested readings on this page (see below) but feel free to e-mail as at [email protected] with your suggestions and any work you would like to share before the session. We always encourage writers (and aspiring writers, however you identify) to share their work, all genres, English or Swahili, and published or unpublished!

The event is free and open to anyone who is a writer and participation of all is encouraged regardless of experience. Moto is open to writers and speakers of Swahili or English and both languages are equally encouraged.
