Germany and Tanzania are related to each other through history, society and economics. During her visit in Tanzania in December 2008 the visual artist Anne Stolmar asked herself which commonalities and differences in Tanzanian and German life paths can be find. In order to answer this question, she photographed and interviewed more than twenty people in each country on their most important life goals and how they want to realize them. The aims of her art project are to visualize similarities and differences between the two countries and to make a contribution to intercultural understanding in a globalized world.
