The 15th edition of the 6-annual festival showcasing nothing but the very best of local, regional and international arts and culture.
HIFA has come to be seen as an important symbol of something positive about Zimbabwe, unifying socially and culturally disparate groups of Zimbabweans at a time of ideological conflict and political uncertainty bringing huge audiences together to celebrate something positive – the healing and constructive capacity of the arts.
Interactive workshops and events include theatre, dance, music, street performance, spoken word and visual arts.
Novelties to be expected in the coming year inclued the staging of more shows and arts promotion activities in-between its festival editions. HIFA will be embarking on these projects as part of its fiduciary duty to promote the Arts and Culture industry in Zimbabwe. The 2014 Festival as well as the additional events HIFA will be staging will serve to maintain the critical momentum of employment creation that these events bring about. HIFA has been supporting individual shows and other festivals in Zimbabwe for many years but will now increase the number of activities staged and supported to the greater benefit of audiences and industry players.
