The NYWF will provide an opportunity for young people to meet and interact with youth ambassadors Gal Level, who will present several activities during the event. The duo will also be part of the hosts of the young women's forum during the festival.
The NYWF will allow a wide range of youth functions to run concurrently, allowing a broad range of activities such as an international regional meeting of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, the General Assembly of the National Youth Council, which will elect the secretary general of the body, the National Youth Expo, Youth Expo Arts and Cultural competitions, lessons from the teachings of Nkrumah and Nyerere, a presentation on Mwalimu's non-alignment and Pan-Africanism in relation to the task of the post-neo-liberal generation, a one-on-one with Gal Level, an HIV/AIDS puppet show, The Trumpet Player by Committed Artists of Namibia, the Inconvenient Truth film showing and discussion, a Nanso symposium, a Towards Making Tertiary Education Accessible to All debate, preparing Namibian entrepreneurs for mining opportunities, a feature length film, ‘Consequences', followed by discussions, an Unlocking Development Opportunities for Young People in Rural Areas debate, panel discussion on the Impact of Communication Act 2009, HIV/AIDS positive living/multiple concurrent partnerships, a Culture in Modern Day Society seminar, Desert Soul video showing, ‘Discoveries on the Farmers Track', video and discussion, 3rd National Youth Week Talent Show, Youth Urbanisation: The Threat of Drugs, Gangsterism and Delinquency debate, Credit for Youth in Business Microfinance seminar, Gender and Child Trafficking Awareness seminar, Miss NYC Beauty Pageant, youth awards, and leisure sport activities.
Different renowned and upcoming Namibian artists will join and provide entertainment during the event.
It is wholly dedicated to all Namibian youth irrespective of race, colour, political or ethnic disposition.
