7th biannual Afrika Heritage festival at the Alliance Francaise in Enugu

The Pan-African Circle of Artists will hold its 7th biannual Afrika Heritage festival at the Alliance Francaise in Enugu from the 15th to 30th of September, 2009. Afrika Heritage aims to merge a spectrum of arts and culture, bringing together performers, writers and artists from Nigeria and all over Africa.

The theme of this year’s festival is « Perception and Promotion of Visual Arts: A Comparative Study of Visual Arts in Nigeria and Japan. »

The events include a lecture/slide presentation by Danish artist Lasse Lau, a Grand Exhibition as well as several ancillary exhibitions, a book fair, poetry readings and literary/ theatrical performances and an international conference with a central theme of « Harnessing the Yield of Cultural Production as Alternative for Socio-economic Development in Africa. »
