The third edition of the Kenya International Film Festival was held from the 22nd of October to 1st of November 2008 in Nairobi, Kenya.The theme of the festival was "Celebrating our cultural diversity through cinema".The festival saw an entry of over 300 films from all over the World. Thanks go to several friendly Embassies for their support in collecting the films that were screened.
The Embassy of France in Kenya was once again the main sponsor in collaboration with the Kenya Film Commission, AFRICALIA Belgium, the Government of Kenya, Goethe Institut, Nairobi, Alliance Francaise, Italian Institute of Culture, and the Embassy of Mexico. The Alliance Francaise, Goethe institute and Italian Institute also supported the festival mainly providing their venues either at a discounted price or in kind.
